Claudia Ochoa

Claudia is a senior Psychology major with a minor in Translation who brings experience in social science research and administration of surveys to the group.  She is currently working on her Honors Thesis research on jury decision-making and the impact of alibi witnesses.  Claudia is a UTEP Presidential Scholarship winner, was part of El Paso’s Community Scholars program, and graduated first in her class at Fabens High School.  Claudia plans to continue her research in graduate school.


Moses Pologne

Moses Pologne was a Research Assistant at CIERP after previously working as a Program Coordinator and Graduate Intern at the Center. As a member of the Planning and Policy Analysis Group, Mr. Pologne worked on institutional planning and state accountability data projects.  In addition, he conducted critical analyses on policies. Mr. Pologne previously worked as an Economist and Budget Analyst in the Budget Office in the Ministry of Finance in his native St. Lucia.  Mr. Pologne was educated at the University of the West Indies – Cave Hill Campus, in Barbados (B.Sc. Economics and Management, 1997) and the University of Texas at El Paso (M.S. Economics, 2005).


John Warren

As a member of the Planning and Policy Analysis Group at CIERP, John Warren was responsible for institutional planning, both short-term and long-term, and accountability for the state, accreditation agencies and the public. He used his experience working with large state and nationwide student data systems and web master for a number of projects at the Center as well.  Mr. Warren was educated at the University of Phoenix – Santa Teresa Campus, in New Mexico (B.Sc. Information Systems, 2002) and the University of Texas at El Paso (Master of Information Technology (M.I.T., 2006).


Katherine White

Katherine worked with the Research, Survey, & Evaluation group as a part-time graduate summer intern. While at CIERP, she collaborated with others in the group to improve and expand upon techniques used to evaluate the effectiveness of the Bridges program. As a native El Pasoan and current doctoral student in Psychology at UTEP, she brings her research background and a unique perspective to the team. Katherine holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from UTEP in 2007, and her doctor research focuses upon the cognitive aspects of stereotyping and prejudice.


  Elizabeth Uhl, Graduate Assistant

Elizabeth Uhl worked as a Graduate Assistant at CIERP. Creating surveys, preparing data for presentation,  coding and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. Before joining CIERP, Elizabeth served as an Assistant Instructor and Teaching Assistant for the Department of Psychology. Elizabeth holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Administration of Criminal Justice from Bradley University and a Master’s Degree in Experimental Psychology from UTEP.
